1. Shop through TopCashback

Five steps get you real money back with one app sharing its whole commission. Number five: shop through TopCashback, and it passes on its whole commission. The store pays it for sending you, and 100% comes back. Its help page shows 4% back at one beauty store, as an example.

By our count, a fifty-dollar order there brings back $2. ShopBack works the same way, but splits the commission it earns with you. One of its pages puts it plainly: no points, no credits, just real cash. You shop, book a trip or play a game as usual, and the app tracks your cash back.

Subscribe for clear money steps, each one checked on the app's own pages. TopCashback says ads and store bonuses pay its bills. ShopBack's page says you can spend it however you like. On TopCashback, it should show in your earnings within seven days of the purchase.

One rule most people miss: open no other tab between ShopBack and the store. TopCashback is free to use, with zero sign-up or membership fees. Both ask you to be eighteen or older. TopCashback runs sites for several countries, and outside its home market it pays only through PayPal.

ShopBack runs a separate site in each of its markets, with its own rules. Next, adding an offer before you shop can bring cash back in a store too.

2. Add an offer in Ibotta before you shop

Number four: add an offer in Ibotta before you shop, and the cash back lands in your earnings. With your store's loyalty program linked, it arrives with no receipt at all. In a store, you can also take clear photos of the paper receipt instead. Paper receipts only count for in-store purchases, including some bars and restaurants.

Offers can be redeemed in a store or online. So there are two routes to the same cash. Online, the order starts in the app; in a store, the offer comes first. Its pages show amounts in dollars and name no country, so check that it works where you live.

Its first step is to download the app and complete the registration. At the pump or the grocery store, the next step pays before you check out.

3. Claim an Upside offer at a gas station

Number three: claim an Upside offer at a gas station, a grocery store or a restaurant. Businesses pay it from the extra sales you bring, and it passes some of that to you. Each day, you can claim up to five offers across all its locations. That includes two at one gas station and three at one grocery store or car wash.

Each gas offer covers up to fifty gallons. By our count, two fill-ups and three grocery trips use all five offers in a day. Paying with the app has different daily limits. Upside works in only one country, so check before you count on it.

Hiding your phone's location can block the app. We're halfway: three steps done, two to go, and on every app the offer comes first. Next comes the step most people skip: waiting until the money is confirmed.

4. Once the store's return period passes

Number two: once the store's return period passes, your cash back turns available. Cash back first shows in your earnings, then turns available to move. For a trip, it waits until you've completed the trip. It also waits for the store's invoice from its affiliate network.

Once it's available, you can move the money at any time. By our count, an order on the first shows by the eighth, then waits out the return period. On ShopBack's page for one market, only confirmed cash back counts toward a ten-dollar minimum. ShopBack keeps your cash back as long as you make a qualifying purchase at least once every twelve months.

TopCashback only asks you to log in at least once every six months. In one breath: shop through the app, add offers, claim them in stores, then wait. 5. Ibotta can send your cash back to PayPal within two hours

Number one: Ibotta can send your cash back to PayPal within two hours. During busy periods, it can take one to three business days. Its bank option works if your bank has joined its earnings program. First, you need $20 in earnings, one redeemed offer and seven days after it.

By our count, a first offer on the first can move to PayPal from the eighth, once you reach $20. PayPal transfers only work inside the Ibotta app, not on its website. ShopBack typically pays within ten calendar days, and it can take up to thirty. It moves up to $300 a day.

A PayPal payment from ShopBack must be claimed within thirty days. On Upside, moving less than $10 costs a one-dollar fee. TopCashback lets you request a payment once you have any payable funds. Wrong payment details are the main cause of delays, so check them first.

Ibotta may ask you to verify your phone number before it pays. Payment options differ by country. So, five steps: shop through the app, so the store's commission comes back. Add offers before you shop, and link your loyalty program.

In a store, claim the offer before you pay. Wait out the return period, until it turns available. Then move it to PayPal or your bank. TopCashback passes on all of its commission, and ShopBack splits it.
