Seven mystery shopping companies can pay you to visit a store, restaurant or hotel as a customer, then report back. Number one pays every week on many of its country sites. Another says most visits take fifteen minutes to an hour.
7. BestMark usually pays a shopper fee plus a refund for what you have to buy
Number seven: BestMark usually pays a shopper fee plus a refund for what you have to buy. Its shops are done on-site, online or by phone. After each one, you file a report that answers every required question, with detailed comments. Payments go out between the fifteenth and twentieth of each month, for shops accepted the month before.
It welcomes new shoppers aged eighteen or older in the two countries its page lists. If it emails you a question about a shop, you answer within twelve hours so the shop can be paid. Registration and tax rules can differ from place to place. To start, you create a free shopper profile on its sign-up page.
If this one helps, subscribe: next comes a company where a restaurant meal can be part of the pay.
6. An SQM evaluation can pay between five and one hundred dollars
Number six: an SQM evaluation can pay between five and $100, depending on the type. As a regular customer, you dine in the restaurant or shop in the store you are assigned, then fill out a report. Some evaluations pay a fee, and others add a benefit, like a meal in a restaurant. Some ask you to pay first, then reimburse you up to a set amount.
You send an invoice by the tenth of the next month, and payments go out between the twenty-fifth and the thirtieth. By our count, an invoice sent on the tenth is processed fifteen to twenty days later. It asks for a high school diploma or the equivalent. If there is no opening near you yet, your application stays on file for up to eighteen months.
You are paid on a contract basis, so no official income statement comes at tax time. To start, you fill out its shopper application form. Number five gives you a day to file your report.
5. Market Force repays your shop expenses plus a bit extra
Number five: Market Force repays your shop expenses plus a bit extra, says its shopper page for one country. Each shop is a scenario you act out as a normal customer at a store, restaurant or hotel. Some shops ask you to buy something, and some purchases you can even keep. Its criteria for one country put the report deadline at twenty-four hours after the visit.
Its terms for one country say payment is made within one month of the shop, or as the assignment states. Shoppers must be eighteen or older, with internet, email and a camera phone for receipts. It recruits only in the countries its shopper sites list, so check that yours is there. To start, you register on the shopper site for your region and download its free app.
Number four briefs you on what each client wants before you go.
4. BARE International shows each project's fee on its job board before you offer to take it
Number four: BARE International shows each project's fee on its job board before you offer to take it. A project can be an in-person visit, a phone call or a web inquiry, done as a typical customer. Before it, you get a briefing on that client's goals and any special requirements. Some projects also reimburse a purchase, up to a maximum written in the job posting.
In the month after a project, payment is processed by the eighteenth or paid by month's end, depending on your region. Its platform depends on your region: an app in some countries, a browser site in the rest. Registration is free, and evaluators must be at least eighteen. Projects usually have firm deadlines, and any cost the posting does not cover is yours.
To start, you complete its online registration and agree to its working terms. Four down, and each one so far pays a fee, a refund, or both. Seven more ways people make extra money are in our earlier video, linked on screen. Number three lists the payment with every shop, before you accept it.
3. At Secret Shopper
Number three: at Secret Shopper, pay starts at $15 for basic shops. Shops happen in person, on the phone or online, and cover service, cleanliness and more. Each shop lists its payment, and any purchase is either reimbursed or built into that payment. Reports are submitted online, and some need photos as proof.
Reports are usually due by noon the day after the shop, in the company's own time zone. Outside its home region, approved shops are paid on the twentieth of the month after the shop. By our count, that is a wait of about three to seven weeks, depending on the day of the shop. Registration starts at eighteen, needs a phone, computer or tablet, and asks for no experience.
Shops depend on demand in your area, which changes regularly. You work as an independent contractor, so local tax rules apply. To start, you create a shopper profile and say where you want to shop. Number two tells you how long most visits take.
2. Most Helion Research assignments take fifteen minutes to an hour
Number two: most Helion Research assignments take fifteen minutes to an hour, plus a short online report. You visit a store, showroom or service point, ask set questions and observe the service. The exact fee for each assignment is shown in your account before you accept it. Its indicative range is five to 150 euros per assignment, and fees vary by project and country.
Purchases are reimbursed up to the amount on the job board, on top of the fee. Payment arrives around the twentieth of the month after the visit, by a method that depends on your country. Its own example is a June fourth visit paid around July twentieth. By our count, that is a wait of about forty-six days.
Anyone eighteen or older with internet access can sign up, and no experience is needed. Fuel and parking are usually not reimbursed unless the assignment says so. Jobs appear when a client project starts in your area. To start, you sign up for free, add your profile and payment details, and apply on the job board.
In one breath: fees plus refunds, meals, scenarios, briefings, basic shops and short visits. How many days do you think number one's money takes, from Sunday to your account? Number one has the answer.
1. IShopFor Ipsos pays every week on many of its country sites
Number one: iShopFor Ipsos pays every week on many of its country sites. There, shops validated by Sunday reach your pay schedule on Tuesday and your account the following Monday. By our count, that is about eight days from Sunday to the money in your account. Each shop follows a scenario at an assigned place, by visit, call, email or audit.
It has three parts: preparing, the experience itself, and a survey afterwards. You see the pay and any reimbursement before you accept a shop. Other country sites pay on their own schedule, for example seven to ten days after approval. It asks for shoppers over eighteen, with a smartphone and regular internet access.
Its weekly-pay sites ask you to answer the questions within twelve hours of the task. Some programs limit how many shops one shopper can do in a period. It runs a site for each country it covers, so you start on yours. To start, you pick your country site and create a free account to see the job board.
And that completes the seven. So, seven companies: fees plus refunds, meals as part of the pay, one-day reports and project briefings. Then basic shops from $15, short visits, and number one, which pays every week on many sites. You can open one official page, linked below, and read its shopper rules today.

Seven mystery shopping companies that recruit shoppers on their own sites: what one shop is, how the fee and refunds work, when the money arrives, who can join and one limit for each. Each step comes from the company's own pages, checked on October 28, 2026. Our own counts turn the payout dates into days of waiting. Pay, rules and the countries each company covers differ by company and by where you live, and the mascot is a fictional character.
