1. On YourParkingSpace, you list your empty driveway or garage
Five car apps that pay; one gives you a hundred percent of your price. Number five: on YourParkingSpace, you list your empty driveway or garage. You choose your rate, and you get all of it. Drivers pay a 20% fee, while you pay nothing.
By our count, a ten-a-day space lists at twelve, and you pocket ten. It even recommends prices based on bookings within half a mile. Listing a space costs nothing, with no upkeep fees either. Payments go out early each month, by bank transfer or PayPal.
Balances above ten pounds go out on their own; smaller ones roll over. Its spaces are in a couple of countries for now. Next, an app that rents out the car itself.
2. SnappCar lets you rent out your own car at a daily price you set
Number four: SnappCar lets you rent out your own car at a daily price you set. Extra kilometers come on top, paid by how far the renter drives. For rentals over three days, you can switch on a 15% discount. SnappCar's fee is thirteen and a half percent of the daily rate for a car.
On extra kilometers, it takes a 10% commission. Each booking includes all-risk insurance. The owner pays an insurance charge per day. By our count, on a three-day rental at thirty euros a day, the fee is about twelve euros.
Rentals under five hours cost half the rental price. A payment processor pays owners after each rental ends. Your car needs third-party insurance, paid taxes, regular maintenance and a local registration. It works in at least two countries, and one has its own terms.
Subscribe, and each new list shows what every platform keeps, from its own pages. Next, an app that rents your car by the hour.
3. On Getaround, renters book your car by the day or by the hour, at rates you set
Number three: on Getaround, renters book your car by the day or by the hour, at rates you set. The first hour's base rate is 55% of your daily rate. Each extra hour adds 5.6%, and eight and a half hours make a full day. By our count, a three-hour rental brings about two-thirds of a day's base rate.
Getaround keeps a service fee, a fixed percentage of the base rate, shown in your app. Rentals of two days or more get an automatic discount. It pays weekly or monthly, on the first business day, for rentals ended at least forty-eight hours before. The money usually lands in one to two business days.
Your car needs under 200,000 kilometers and a build year within the last fifteen years. You must own it and carry at least third-party insurance. Handing over the keys in person means no installation or subscription costs. Getaround works in six countries.
We're past halfway: three apps down, two to go, and both pay per job. Next, an app that pays you to deliver with your car.
4. Spark Driver pays per store delivery by car
Number two: Spark Driver pays per store delivery by car, and each offer shows its estimated pay. You keep a hundred percent of the tips customers confirm. Pay grows with distance, order size and extras like heavy items. Deliveries run from six in the morning to eleven at night.
By our count, that's a seventeen-hour window to pick your offers. You pick your zone, and you may drive for other delivery apps too. Earnings arrive instantly or weekly, depending on how you set up your account. Any safe, reliable car works, but motorcycles and scooters don't.
It's open in one country, and some zones have a waitlist. You need to be eighteen or older, with car insurance and a background check. Six more apps for your car are in our earlier video, linked on screen. In one breath: rent your space, rent your car by the day or the hour, then deliver.
Before number one, a guess: how fast can a ride app pay you?
5. Yango lets you drive riders with your own car
Number one: Yango lets you drive riders with your own car, on your own schedule. Its page says drivers get paid in a couple of hours. The app suggests rides near you, and you accept the ones you want. Income depends on distance, number of rides, location and road conditions.
Our comparison: this one pays within hours, while the others pay instantly, weekly or monthly. Yango works in twenty-five countries across the Middle East, Africa and Latin America. To start, its page says you download the driver app, fill out a form and upload your documents. Rules and documents differ by country, so its page for your country has the details.
So, five apps: rent your space, rent your car by the day or the hour, deliver, or drive riders. Our comparison: three let you set the price, and two pay by the offer or the ride. One small step today: look up which of these works where you live. Which one fits your car best?
Tell us in the comments. Fees, rules and countries can change, so check each app's own page; this is information only, not financial advice. Next, watch every level of car ownership, and what changes at each one, linked on screen. It walks through each level, from a first car up.
