Six sites that pay you and cost nothing to join, and by the end, you'll know how each one pays. By our count, one site pays you $19 and forty cents on a twenty-dollar net sale through your link. Keep an eye out for the last one, where sign-up is free, with no traffic or follower minimums.
6. Hostinger's affiliate program pays on hosting plans only for a first purchase of twelve months or longer
Number six: Hostinger's affiliate program pays on hosting plans only for a first purchase of twelve months or longer. Its page says joining is completely free of charge. You sign up in less than a minute, get verified, then promote hosting with your own link or banners. The agreement sets the commission at up to 40% of an eligible sale.
The agreement also says every application is reviewed before it is accepted. On revenue-share offers, the agreement caps one sale's commission at $300. You need at least three approved sales through your link before you can request a payment. The minimum payout is $100 through an online payment service, or 500 by wire transfer.
Payouts are released by the twentieth of the month. By our count, at the top 40%, a one-hundred-dollar first purchase before taxes and fees would earn you $40. Taxes and payment options differ by country. Number five pays you for songs instead.
5. On RouteNote's free plan
Number five: on RouteNote's free plan, you keep 85% of the net revenue, not all of it. RouteNote is a music distribution company, so it sends your songs to stores and streaming services. Its support page says it costs $0 to use, with no upfront costs, hidden charges or extras. You choose which of those stores and streaming services receive your music.
You create an account, add your finished tracks and cover art, then accept its terms and artist agreement. Then a moderation team reviews the release and can send it back to ask for changes. Once approved, it is delivered to your chosen stores within twenty-four hours, excluding weekends. It goes live in most chosen stores within fourteen days, though some stores take up to twenty-eight.
Payments go out automatically between the fifteenth and twentieth of each month, once you reach $50. By our count, every hundred dollars of net revenue on the free plan would leave you eighty-five. Keeping 100% takes the paid premium plan, and you can move between the two whenever you like. Royalty and tax rules differ by country.
Number four lets you sell three-dimensional models. If lists like this help you, subscribe: every rule here comes from each site's own pages.
4. On CGTrader, a new seller's first payout comes no earlier than twenty days after verification
Number four: on CGTrader, a new seller's first payout comes no earlier than twenty days after verification. Creating an account and uploading models costs nothing, the page says. The site earns a commission only when your model sells, with no monthly fees or listing costs. Its sellers design for games, virtual reality and three-dimensional printing.
To start, you create a free account, complete your seller profile and submit your payment agreement for approval. Once approved, you also activate and verify an online payment account, then upload your models and sell to buyers worldwide. Your payout rate starts at 55% of each sale and rises with your sales. The schedule's top level pays 80%, after $300,000 in sales over a rolling year.
Earnings become payable twenty days after a sale and are processed weekly, every Wednesday. By our count, a forty-dollar model at the starting rate would leave you $22. Payout services and tax rules differ by country. We are halfway, and one thing makes every item easier: each page lists when payouts happen.
Number three turns one image file into many products.
3. On a Threadless Artist Shop
Number three: on a Threadless Artist Shop, each product's base cost covers making it, plus a 5% processing fee. Its creator blog says starting an Artist Shop has been and always will be free. It takes only minutes to build the shop, and one image file can go on hundreds of products. In your own shop, you keep the entire difference between the retail price you set and the base cost.
When you promote your shop, customers see only your brand and products. On the Threadless marketplace, you earn 10% of the purchase price instead. Sales stay pending for fifteen days, in case of cancellations or changes. Cleared earnings are paid the following month, typically between the eighteenth and twentieth.
All artist earnings go out through one online payment service. By our count, a thirty-dollar shirt sold on the marketplace would earn you $3. How earnings are taxed depends on where you live. Six other apps and sites that pay you, and how to start each one, are in our earlier video, linked on screen.
Number two shares the revenue of a video course you make.
2. On Udemy, a regular marketplace sale pays the instructor thirty-seven percent of the net amount
Number two: on Udemy, a regular marketplace sale pays the instructor 37% of the net amount. Being an instructor carries no fee, the help center says. You start by signing up as an instructor. To sell paid courses, you also register as a premium instructor.
Each course needs at least thirty minutes of video and at least five lectures. All courses are reviewed before they are published. Your course goes into the marketplace, where you earn from each paid enrollment. When a student uses your own coupon code or referral link, your share is 97% of the net amount.
That is where the opening's $19 and forty cents comes from. The terms add that your own coupons and referral links are subject to limits. Both shares come after deductions such as student refunds. The net amount is after transaction taxes, mobile platform fees and, in most places, a 3% processing fee.
By our count, the same twenty-dollar net sale through the marketplace would leave you $7 and forty cents. Payment comes within forty-five days of the end of the month, once you are owed at least $25. You need an online payment account or a valid bank account in good standing. A course that is paid on Udemy cannot be offered for free on other platforms.
Which payout accounts and tax forms apply depends on where you live. In one breath: hosting links, songs, three-dimensional models, art on products and video courses. Number one is the last site, and the one we flagged at the start.
1. Viator, where sign-up is free, with no traffic or follower minimums
Number one: Viator, where sign-up is free, with no traffic or follower minimums. Its affiliate program is for anyone who loves travel. The options run from walking tours and cooking classes to multi-day excursions. You share links to its tours and experiences in travel articles, blogs, social posts, video descriptions, or even texts to friends.
Affiliates earn 8% commission on any experience booked within thirty days. A click on your link starts that thirty-day window. The commission arrives once the experience has been completed, not at booking. Through one online payment service, payouts are weekly, with no minimum.
Bank transfers are monthly, with a fifty-dollar minimum, and smaller amounts carry over. By our count, a one-hundred-dollar tour booked through your link would earn you $8. Payout options and tax duties vary from place to place. And that completes the six.
So, six sites that cost nothing to join: hosting links on Hostinger, songs on RouteNote and models on CGTrader. Then art on Threadless, courses on Udemy and travel links on Viator. You can open one site's page, linked below, and check one requirement today. Which one would you start first?
