Intro

The Cash Giraffe app pays out from twenty cents; two others, from $5. All three apps cost zero to join, and two pay instantly when you redeem. By the last one, you'll know the easiest app: setup takes under two minutes.

1. PrizeRebel pays for surveys and offers

Number three: PrizeRebel pays for surveys and offers, with PayPal payouts from $5. An offer can be as simple as watching a video, its help pages say. To start, create a free account; joining and using the site cost nothing. Its rewards page lists PayPal, bank transfer and gift cards, among hundreds of options.

Once your payment email is on file, you're paid instantly when you redeem, its home page says. By our count, two cash-outs at that minimum make $10. Next, a survey site that's open worldwide.

2. Surveytime turns your survey answers into cash

Number two: Surveytime turns your survey answers into cash, from just $5. Its help page says anyone can use it, because it's available worldwide. You sign up for free and take a short introductory survey to start. It pays by PayPal, or by gift cards that differ from country to country.

New surveys can reach you by text, email or web notifications. Cash out $10 or more, and it adds a fifty-cent bonus back to your wallet. By our count, that bonus is five cents back for every dollar you cash out. Two apps done, one to go.

3. Cash Giraffe is a free app that pays you to play mobile games

Number one: Cash Giraffe is a free app that pays you to play mobile games, from twenty cents. It pays by PayPal or gift cards, for its games and for completing surveys. Game developers pay it when players spend time in their games, and it shares part of that with you. You don't pay to download it, to play its games, or to redeem rewards.

Its setup takes under two minutes: install it on your phone. You allow tracking, so it can measure your playtime and credit your gems. It suggests puzzle, arcade, strategy and casual games, and you earn gems as you play. In its rewards section, you swap the gems for cash or vouchers.

Six apps and sites that pay you, and how to start each one, are in our earlier video, linked on screen. In one breath: two of them pay from $5, and the last app pays from twenty cents. After any verification steps, the payout is processed within a few hours, its guide says. If it hasn't arrived within seven days, the guide says to contact support.

It works in many regions: PayPal payouts work in most countries, and reward choices vary by region. On some phones it asks for face verification before a payout, its guide says. Its terms ask that you be over eighteen. By our count, five cash-outs at twenty cents make $1.

So, three apps that pay, with cash-outs from twenty cents to $5. By our count, two of them start at $5, and one at twenty cents. One small step today: open each app's own payout page and check the methods open where you live. Which one would you try first?

Tell us in the comments. Your next step is in the video on screen now: seven ways people earn extra money with just a phone. Information only; results vary. This is Extra Income Explained.
