Your phone, seven days to PayPal: which app does it? Nine apps pay you using only your phone. By the last one, you'll know which app pays fastest after each download.

1. Gigwalk pays by PayPal within seven days for quick jobs

Number nine: Gigwalk pays by PayPal within seven days for quick jobs. Its app finds quick jobs called Gigs in your area. Each Gig is a map pin, taking five minutes to a few hours. Most Gigs ask for geo-tagged photos that show products or events.

The app needs your location, and you take the photos inside it. To start, download the free app from Google Play or the App Store. Then register by answering a few basic questions and giving an email address. You add your PayPal email in the app's settings, because every payment goes through PayPal.

Apply for Gigs on the map or the Gig List, and wait to be accepted. Its terms say you must be at least eighteen to use the app. Then follow the Gig's instructions and submit your work right in the app. Clients then see the work you submitted through the app.

PayPal sends each fee, minus any processing fees, within seven days after the customer accepts the work. That happens once your total reaches $35. A smaller total can carry over to the next month. By our count, work accepted on a Monday reaches PayPal by the next Monday at the latest.

If practical guides like this help you, subscribe. Every step and rule in this video comes straight from each platform's official pages linked below. Next, a job you do just by listening.

2. Humanatic pays weekly by PayPal for listening to recorded phone calls

Number eight: Humanatic pays weekly by PayPal for listening to recorded phone calls. You listen to a call and answer a simple question with one click of a button. Its reviewers work from home, listening to recorded calls. People log on to earn from three devices, a computer, a tablet or a phone, its page says.

Humanatic is free and simple, its home page says: it will never charge you anything. To join, you need a valid, verified PayPal account, which is also free. If you don't have PayPal yet, you'll need to create an account first. Verification proves that a person is who they say they are, its help page explains.

Once your PayPal account is verified, you sign up on its site. When you start, you get the two easiest categories of calls. As you advance, you unlock new categories with more opportunities to earn. It processes payments every Thursday, for requests made by twelve noon on Wednesday, in its time zone.

Its terms say it isn't responsible for PayPal or currency conversion fees. By our count, a payment requested on a Wednesday morning is processed the next day. Next, a video you filmed on your phone.

3. ViralHog pays you fifty percent of the net revenue when it licenses your video

Number seven: ViralHog pays you 50% of the net revenue when it licenses your video. You share it by uploading it from your device or entering a link. It pitches your footage to its network of media partners, its submit page says. No upfront charges, its submit page says: you earn a percentage of the revenue from license sales instead.

Before a payout, it needs your preferred payment method and tax details on file. It submits payments around the fifteenth of each month to eligible accounts. To qualify, your balance needs $75 in completed sales by the last day of the month before. Payment options vary by country and may include PayPal, bank wires and checks.

Depending on the method, the money takes two to ten business days to become available. A video's share of $75 or less over twenty-four months is kept as a fee. By our count, at 50%, a license must bring in $150 for you to reach seventy-five. Next, receipts you already have.

4. Receipt Hog rewards your receipt photos with coins

Number six: Receipt Hog rewards your receipt photos with coins, worth $5 per thousand. Just snap a photo of a paper receipt, or upload a digital one. You also complete its consumer surveys to get started. You earn coins, or chances to win coins, for receipts and surveys about your purchases.

It's a free mobile app, on the App Store and Google Play. It rewards the shopping you're already doing, its guide says. It works in two countries for now, its starter guide says. New users finish an introductory survey and verify their email before they can redeem.

Receipts must be uploaded within fourteen days of the purchase to count. Receipts from stores and from online orders both count, its terms say. At 1,000 coins, you choose PayPal or an e-gift card. To redeem, you open the Rewards page and tap Redeem Prizes.

Requests are reviewed and approved within seven days, and it usually takes much less. By our count, $5 for a thousand coins makes each coin half a cent. Next, paid research you join from your phone.

5. Askable rewards you for taking part in research

Number five: Askable rewards you for taking part in research, paid by PayPal or e-gift card. You share your thoughts in video calls, complete recorded tasks, or answer quick surveys. Recorded tasks use screen, audio and video recordings, done at your convenience. Quick surveys work on any device, with no recordings needed.

You create a participant account on its site or in the mobile app. Signing up and answering a few first questions takes under sixty seconds. You add your experiences, interests and background, so you match more studies. Researchers review applications and look for a mix of voices.

If you match, you're invited, then you confirm or decline. Its page says it's available in almost every country. Depending on your country, you'll see PayPal, an e-gift card, or both. After a study, your reward is usually paid within five business days.

By our count, a study finished on a Monday is usually rewarded by the next Monday. We're past halfway: five apps done, four to go. Next, store visits you do with your camera.

6. Observa pays by PayPal for store visits you do with your phone

Number four: Observa pays by PayPal for store visits you do with your phone. If you can take a photo with your phone, you can be an observer, its page says. You download the app, sign up for free, and need no experience. Then you find opportunities at stores near you in the app.

Once you accept one, you have two hours to complete it. Whoever accepts an opportunity first gets to do it for the fee. You visit the store, answer the questions and take the required photos. Its opportunities are in one country for now, its page says.

There are no schedules: you choose when and where you work. Your login email must match your PayPal email. Payment comes right after your submission is validated, usually within five days. Gas and mileage aren't reimbursed.

You can pass on any opportunity that isn't convenient. By our count, a visit done within its two hours is usually paid within five days. Seven more ways people earn with just a phone are in our earlier video, linked on screen. Next, a viral video of yours.

7. Jukin Media pays you fifty percent of what it earns licensing your video

Number three: Jukin Media pays you 50% of what it earns licensing your video, after rights management costs. On its dashboard, you upload a file from your device or send a link to your post. Jukin doesn't buy your video, only the rights to represent and manage it. Its dashboard shows where your video was licensed and what it has earned.

Its submissions team reviews it and replies within a week if it fits the library. Payments are made each month, by PayPal, check or bank transfer. Earnings that don't exceed $100 roll over to the next month until they do. Some methods may not be available, depending on the country where you live.

PayPal takes one to two business days, and a domestic check five to ten. By our count, the slowest domestic check takes five times as long as PayPal's two days. In one breath: store photos, calls, videos, receipts, research and store visits, each paid its own way. Next, books you already own.

8. World of Books pays for items you own after you scan their barcodes in its app

Number two: World of Books pays for items you own after you scan their barcodes in its app. You can also type the digits under the barcode into the search box. It has an app for Android and for iOS. Pressing complete trade accepts the offer, and a trade needs at least $7 fifty.

From scanning your items to payment, the service is completely free of charge. Its drop-off service is free, too. Rejected items can't be returned, so send only items that meet its criteria. Items are usually processed within three days of reaching the warehouse.

Then PayPal takes three working days, and a bank transfer five. Its site serves one country, with a similar service in another, so check yours. By our count, three days to process and three for PayPal makes about six working days. Before number one, a guess: how fast can an app pay after a single download?

9. Stringr pays a fixed rate each time a media customer downloads your video

Number one: Stringr pays a fixed rate each time a media customer downloads your video. Its agreement says each payment is issued within two business days of the download. Contributors are paid only through PayPal. You shoot and upload straight from your phone, with its iPhone or Android app.

It buys video from two kinds of videographers, amateur and professional, for media like TV news stations. In the app, you open the Uploads tab and tap the plus sign. If you film on a phone, hold it horizontally. Media organizations can search, view, request and buy what contributors upload.

To register, you enter the security code sent to your phone. The rate depends on the video's country of origin, in its pricing table. Not every uploaded video gets downloaded, its registration page notes. By our count, a video downloaded on a Friday is paid by the next Tuesday at the latest.

So, nine apps where your phone does the work, each with its own payday. By our count, their payouts run from two business days to about a month. One small step today: pick one app and read its payment page before you start. Which one would you try first?

Tell us in the comments. Some of these apps work in only a few countries, so check each page where you live. Your next step is in the video on screen now: six apps and sites that pay you, and how to start each one. Information only; results vary.
